Survival was recently playtested with a group of second graders, and the session provided valuable insights that helped shape the next stage of the game’s development. Based on feedback and observations from the playtest, several adjustments were made to the board itself, along with the introduction of a new “cheat sheet” designed to support players during Level 3. This guide will include definitions and explanations for the specialized vocabulary introduced throughout the game.
Most importantly, the students had an incredible time playing. They were excited to learn more about forest creatures, demonstrated a healthy competitive spirit, and remained highly engaged throughout the session. Some students even identified key gameplay changes and offered thoughtful observations about how the game worked, highlighting both their enthusiasm and attention to detail.
